The Seller’s Guide:

Finish setting up your account and start making some mullah.

• If you haven’t already, activate your account and access your seller dashboard here: https://icalmpet.refersion.com/affiliate with the email and password you created in the initial sign-up form. You should see a dashboard much like this upon logging in:

How it Works:

• Your seller dashboard is unique to you (we are unable to even see it). From here you can find your unique referral link and coupon code. When you use either of these on your website or social media, your audience clicks on the link (or uses the code on our website) we know to attribute that sale to you. Our software automatically tracks these sales, and you’ll see the resulting commissions flowin’ into your dashboard!
  • The coupon codes are for specific sales or offers we’re having, and allow your audience to get a special discount through us, and entirely because of your insider status. Coupon codes work on any platform where your audience is, and especially well on social media, places like Instagram or Facebook (where links sometimes cannot be placed). Links are best used on a website, blog, or email, for informing and directing your audience to our website and products, for something like a site-wide sale or new album launch.
  • For both methods, we are still able to track the customer back to you and properly attribute the sale to you. It just depends on what kind of offer we at iCalmPet are currently running and your personal preference!

How to Leverage the Offer:

You’ve got your custom link or coupon code and you know the mechanics, but how to use it? Here’s some examples of other affiliates working authentically and successfully with brands.

Instagram: Here’s an example of a favorite account of mine using an affiliate link (A coupon code could also just as easily be inserted in it’s place).

 

Blog from Thatmutt.com: “Best Food Puzzles for Dogs“. The writer is an affiliate of Chewy.com, and spends some time discussing the best options out there for dog food puzzles, placing the link for each product in her article. Check out the full piece for more inspiration.

 

Done well, this relationship is a beautiful opportunity for brands and individuals to share the mutual profit of aligned and honest business. I encourage you to take some time to scope out inspiration from what other influencers and affiliates are doing out there too.
