Instructions for iCalmDog 1.0
Safety tip: As a precaution, we suggest battery charging only takes place when a person is around. Due to concern about aging Lithium batteries, we recommend that you don’t leave your unit charging with only your dog present.
Using iCalmDog for the first time: |
For customers post 8/18/15, please see “Inserting Flash Drives” below. Flash Drives have replaced Sound Cards and you won’t have any tape protecting a Sound Card from falling out. 1. Turn switch on back side of speaker from off to on.After the four hours of Through a Dog’s Ear calming music is played, it will automatically repeat back to the beginning. |
2. Adjust volume on right side of speaker. DO NOT PLAY AT MAXIMUM VOLUME. It is not good for your dog or the longevity of the speaker. Play at a gentle volume. If you are in a large room and need more sound, use the headphone jack to plug into an external speaker. (See “Additional Features” below.)
Charging iCalmDog: |
1. Use the included USB cable to charge. (Charge life is dependent on volume.)
Insert the smaller connector of the USB cable into the left side of the iCalm Dog. |
2. Then insert the larger connector into a standard USB port on your computer.
You have the option of charging and playing simultaneously.
A “P” on the display signals that the battery needs to be charged. |
A red light will indicate the device is receiving power.
The red charge light will not turn to green when it is fully charged. A full charge takes about four hours. To support a long battery life, it is best to let iCalmDog fully deplete it’s charge before charging. When it is depleted, charge for the full 4 hours. |
You can also use a standard outlet to charge iCalmDog: |
Plug into a USB Power Adapter that comes with most smart phones.
